Today I wanted to share a special product from Leke Piping: a custom-made welded tapered reducer.
A tapered reducer is tapered from top to bottom with no straight sections. It is pressed directly from a straight pipe using a mold.
If the difference in diameter between the large and small ends is significant, the product must be pressed multiple times to complete the manufacturing process.
This is one of our more technical custom pipe fittings. I’d love to hear from engineers and professionals in the industry:
Have you used tapered reducers in your piping systems?
What are the main challenges when specifying or sourcing them?
Any tips or experiences you can share?
Looking forward to your insights. Thank you!
